We live in a small village
called Fa, with its very own visigoth
ruin, between Carcassonne and Quillan. The area is surrounded by
fascinating history, and mythology. Rennes le Chateau within cycling
distance (up hill all the way...), Limoux and its blanquette, the
skiing, the swimming, and not too far, the Mountains... the Sea, hang
on, i forgot esperaza!
Esperaza is a small village, with a large market. On sunny sundays, of
which there are plenty, the market square explodes into a frenzy of
meetings, spending, coffee drinking (and the rest). There is often
impromtu music, bands play and processions take place. To stay in
esperaza i recommend the maison de la riviere, a non-smoking
chambre
d`hotes run by Roy and Jo, among other possibilities.
Sometimes you can see all your friends on a sunday morning and not do
any of your shopping...
Rennes le bains - the hot baths are amazing. There are several to chose
from and each holds its own special atmosphere. A "hippy"-attracting
village with a reputation to uphold, it is full of contrasts.

little introduction
